Parliament swears in new MPs 3/1/2007
AMSTERDAM – Fifteen new members of Parliament were sworn in today. These MPs have joined the coalition factions of the Christian democrats CDA, Labour PvdA and ChristenUnie. Vacancies arose in these factions when many of the faction members were promoted to positions as minister or state secretary.

A number of former MPs who just didn’t make it into Parliament in the general elections in November will be returning to their posts, including Kadhija Arib (PvdA) and Antoinette Vietsch (CDA). Former Pim Fortuyn Party (LPF) MP Margot Kraneveldt, who defected to the PvdA last year, will now be representing the Labour party in parliament.
